I went to one of these programs.. The illegal transportation, kidnapping, taking me across state lines, withholding food. Isolation rooms, withholding medical care, censoring all my calls and letters... there was so much done to us. The time I lost. The shame I feel. The nightmares. Still wondering what is wrong with me and if anyone will ever really know me. This documentary was therapy for this messed up “kid”.

I know personally, how hard talking about abuse is, and I’m so glad you are strong enough to speak about this issue and I hope you continue to fight for others who’s voice hasn’t been heard, because you have the power to make changes.

I like that you've matured, become a strong woman, someone that young women can look up too... There are so many girls that need a TRUE role model ...I feel that you are at the perfect moment to achieve this... You sound so different, and absolutely in command of your life - I hope this is the REAL you, because it's a wonderful person that I see... Happy for you...

Eine wirklich tolle Stimme. Es ist sehr traurig was ihnen passiert ist und ich konnte auch nicht glauben, dass, nur weil jemand reich ist, so naiv sein könne, wie sie es dargestellt haben.

This just really shows that everything, and I mean everything is rooted in his or her childhood. No matter how grand or fvcked up that was. It shows how important that phase in our lives is but it is unfortunately just viewed as "JUST A PHASE" when it literally shapes the person you are to become, who you want to be, how you think in life and why you are doing all these things. I can't speak for everybody but it is just my opinion that childhood is one of the most, if not THE, important part of a person's life.

What kind of parenting is that? Always filming her, calling her “star”, making her feel like looks is all she got.. when my 4 yo gets insecure about her looks (yes that does happen!!) I tell her there’s so much more to her. She’s beautiful of course and I tell her that all the time. But I always add more, that she’s kind, witty and smart. I don’t wanna raise a “pretty girl” I just want to raise a decent human being.

This made me so sad, not able to tell your parents what was happening to you because of the threats from Provo. I'm so very sorry Paris. What they did at Provo is horrible, scarring and scaring you. My heart goes out to you. I'm sending love, strength and prayers for you and all affected. 💔💔

Watching this made me cry. Growing up 20 years ago Paris was always my idol and style mentor. I still have the same style as her. I was also abused by my parents as a child and a teen and have been in abusive relationships my whole life. Even my current relationship is emotionally abusive. I've always wanted to get married and have kids but at 41 I haven't did either. This film made me love and respect Paris even more than I did before. 💖

My fun loving bubbly friend was up and taken out of nowhere to one of these places in highschool. She came back so messed up and said how they would abuse them and she tried to escape with some other girls a few times but they always caught and punished them. These 'schools' are pure evil and the parents are totally wack. If your kid is out of control maybe you need to seek family therapy and not traumatize your kid.

Always knew there was more to Paris. This all makes so much sense. I wish she could be free to be herself. This is heartbreaking. Much respect to all the survivors for coming out with their stories. You’re helping others more than you know. This makes me want to open up to my mom about my own traumas. Thank you Paris.

This also makes me curious about what her next move is. She says she won’t divorce the Paris character she’s created yet this part of her true story isn’t part of the character....but the movie is out now. So she’ll just continue the character with full acknowledgment that it’s a character and we all know it too now? Wont people expect something different from her now?
